“The environment is everything that isn’t me.”

-Albert Einstein

Careful use of nature is not only responsible, it’s sustainable. We believe that there are days to fish hard and days to sit it out to let the fish rest. Hot days, low water days, or spawning season. Remember to Mind the Redd during spawning season.

Rainbow (Oncorhynchus mykiss) and Cutthroat (Oncorhynchus clarkii) spawn during the Spring while Browns (Salmo trutta) spawn in the fall.

Fly fishing for trout during the spawning season can be incredibly productive but should be done ethically as well. To protect future fisheries and ensure natural reproduction, please avoid fishing to trout on Redds and also be mindful of wading across the river during spawning season.
